Shilp Gravures began operations in 1989 as an Engraving house, when gravure industry in India was at its infancy. It had an inherent cutting edge, having been founded and run by a team of experienced technocrats, led by the visionary Ambar Patel.
In 1990, the company set up its own Chemical Etching facility and in 1993, it opened the first and only Electronic Engraving House in India - Shilp Gravures Limited. From Chemical Etching to Electronic Engraving, it was a huge leap.
